The New Year is coming, which hopefully means big and wonderful changes for a lot of us! But have you thought about your car goals in 2022? Are you looking to go Hybrid? Electric? Want something new with an old name? Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram are keeping some old favorites around and making way for some new inventory in 2022. Some of them have old names, some of them are updated models, and some of them are just plain cool. Here’s what you can expect from Schmit Bros Ford/Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram in 2022.
Ford is reintroducing an old favorite: the 2022 Ford Maverick! We currently have these trucks available for custom order on our Ford side. They look different; it a smaller, more compact truck much like the Ford Ranger. It's a combo between the Ford Bronco and the Ford Escape but in truck form. It will be available with towing options as well as 3 different trim levels.
The Ford Bronco will be back in 2022 after its first year back. The Bronco had been redesigned and brought back in 2021 after a hiatus from the mid 90’s. First developed in 1966, the Bronco was a staple in the car and truck industry. The styling of the 2021 Bronco had nods to its earlier development from 1966-1977. Custom orders can be taken at Schmit Bros Ford for the Ford Bronco of your dreams!
In 2022 Jeep has completely redesigned the Compass. The new model in 2022 includes Bluetooth updates, collision warning with automatic braking, lane keeping assistance, pedestrian and cycle detection, lane management, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Jeep Compass 2022 also includes a self-governing assistance system called Highway Assist that allows for semi automated driving.
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is also new in 2022! This is another name making a big come back. Both the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer will be offered in 3 different trim levels: Series I, Series II, Series III as well as the Obsidian. The Obsidian trim level will only be available on the Grand Wagoneer. If you’re looking for the retro wood paneling, sorry! This Jeep Wagoneer is sleek and redesigned in 2022.
The last newbie on the list is a 2022 Jeep Cherokee GC 4xe. What do all those letters mean? Essentially this Jeep has an electrified Power Train. This is the first Jeep Cherokee with a plug-in hybrid variant with 2 electric motors, a 400-volt, 17-kWh battery pack, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Jeep’s goal is to achieve 25 miles of all electric range and an estimated 57 MPGe.
