
Ah, the beginning of a new year, a new season, some new things you might be doing in your life! Everyone needs a fresh start every once in a while. 2. Learn how to jump your car- There are TONS of tutorials on the internet or YouTube on the SAFE way to jump start your car. Knowing how is essential: learn how in case you ever end up in a situation with a dead phone or no reception. Always carry around jumper cables in your car not only for yourself, but you never know who might need them!

3. Don’t ignore car lights and warnings- Do you have an annoying little light that won’t go off in your car? Get it checked out. Check engine light that randomly pops on? There’s always a reason for it, even if it’s not serious. Don’t ignore what your car is trying to tell you.

4. Stay up to date on oil changes, tire rotations, and routine maintenance- This is ESSENTIAL in maintaining the life of your car. If you run out of oil, you can completely wreck your car or sometimes end up in a dangerous situation.

5. If your car smells bad, IMMEDIATELY do something about it- This is a warning and could save your life! Never ignore any weird smells coming from your car.

6. Learn how to safely transport gas- You may someday end up in a situation where you need to transport gas for yourself or someone else. It isn’t hard to do, but there is a method to staying safe while doing it.

7. Sometimes a car wash subscription can save you money- If you regularly enjoy going through the car wash, see if they have a monthly subscription that you can subscribe to. Many car washes often come with free vacuums as well, which helps keep dirt and grime from wrecking the interior of your car.

8. Get proper floor mats- Often times the mats that cars come with don’t cut it for dirty Wisconsin falls and wet and muddy winters, which can protect the frame of your car in the long run to prevent rust and damage.
