A big and burly pickup that also happens to be electric? That’s what you get with the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning, bringing the classic strength of the Ford F-150 into the modern age. Here is what you can expect from the battery of this new EV pickup and how to charge it – test-drive one for yourself at Schmit Bros. Ford!

Driving Range

The driving range of the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning varies based on the trim you choose. Both the Pro and XLT trims come with the standard-range battery, which offers an EPA-estimated range of 240 miles. Higher trims offer an extended-range battery, which gives you up to 320 miles on the FLASH™ and Lariat® trims.

Charging Time

The great news with the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning is that you can use any 120-volt household power outlet to keep it charged using the included charging cable. You can also choose to have the available Ford Charge Station Pro installed in your home for quicker charging. With this option, it takes about 10 hours to bring the standard-range model from 15% to 80%, and around eight with the extended model.

The fastest charging option is at one of the thousands of dedicated DC Fast charging stations across the country. Using this, the standard battery can go from 15% to 80% in 44 minutes. That’s trimmed to 41 minutes with the extended-range pack.
