Added mid-year 2021, the Ford Explorer Timberline trim is based on the mid-level Ford Explorer XLT, and this adds heathered cloth and ActiveX trimmed seating, all-terrain tires, and an exterior/interior stylish detail.
A new Ford Explorer ST Line trim, which is also based on the mid-level Ford Explorer XLT, adds exterior and interior elements from the performance ST, but does not include the 3.0L EcoBoost twin turbocharged V6 engine. Instead, it is powered by the base 2.3L EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine. The Ford Explorer ST Line offers an optional Bang and Olufsen premium surround sound audio system with an external amplifier, which was previously only offered on Limited trims and above.
