The combustion-only powertrain of the 2025 Ford Maverick features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 238 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. In the 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid, an electric motor, a battery pack, and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combine for 191 horsepower.
Front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission are standard for all trims except for the newly introduced Ford Maverick Lobo. Pickups with front-wheel drive are eligible for an optional all-wheel drive system. All-wheel drive and a seven-speed automatic transmission are standard for the Ford Maverick Lobo.
